081109 New Windsor vs Wallkill
- The Division 1 New Windsor Eagles had a very exciting and successful 2008 football season, but it unfortunately came to an end with an extremely tough 6-0 playoff loss to the Wallkill Stars on Sunday, November 9th.
- The rematch between these two teams was just as exciting as the original with the entire game being a hard fought defensive battle. At one point many people started believing that the outcome was going to have to be decided in overtime, but with about 4 minutes left in the fourth quarter the Stars completed an 11 play 77 yard scoring drive to take the 6-0 lead. This was the first touchdown the Eagles defense had given up since game 1 back on September 7th, a streak of 31 quarters of football.
- The defensive star of the game for the Eagles was Justin Allen with 5 tackles, 1 assist, and 2 interceptions. His 2nd interception put a stop to the Stars passing game. Also coming up big on defense were Jordan Wright (4 tackles), Domenick Colotti (3 tackles, 2 assists), Mark Heidmann (3 tackles, 1 forced fumble), Noah Fields (2 tackles, 1 assist), Jack Walsh (2 tackles), Tomas Guzman (2 tackles), Anthony Fiscal (1 tackle, 1 assist), Ryan Skivington (1 tackle), Tyler Allen (1 tackle), Jonte Wilson (1 assist), Nolan Casale (1 assist) and Matt Ulrich (1 assist).
- The New Windsor Eagles had a great run after an opening day loss to Warwick. They rolled off 7 straight wins to capture the 2nd seed in the playoffs and finish the season with an impressive 7-1 record. They finished the season with almost 2,000 yards total offense and outscored their opponents 163-31. Each and every player should be proud of their accomplishments this season as each and every one of them played a key role in the success of the 2008 Eagles. Congratulations to our 2008 Eagles: #20 Tyler Allen, #13 Justin Allen, #26 Mike Brinkworth, #58 Adrian Broe, #25 Joshua Bryant, #27 Nolan Casale, #88 Domenick Colotti, #34 Bobby Eichner, #54 Noah Fields, #1 Anthony Fiscal, #72 Danny Gandt, #45 Tomas Guzman, #22 Mark Heidmann, #2 Derrick Kenan, #89 Shane McDonough, #14 Taylor Ricciardi, #4 Ryan Skivington, #21 Matthew Ulrich, #56 Jack Walsh, #42 Jonte Wilson, and #51 Jordan Wright,
- A special thank you goes out to all the Eagles parents, grandparents, family, and friends for their support at the games and for enduring the long practices during the August heat and the cold weather in October and November. Another special thank you Kristi Fitzpatrick for all the coordinating and assistance she provided the Eagles and Eagles Coaches. An additional thank you to Kim and Chris Eichner for providing the photos for the newwindsorfootball.com website and Sentinel newspaper, as well as the PowerAde and post-game snacks. And last but not least, a thank you to my wife Pam for giving me 3-4 hours on Sunday and Monday night to write up the game summary for the Eagles website and Sentinel newspaper.
- The season would not be complete if it was not for the lovely and talented New Windsor Eagle Cheerleaders and their never ending support of the D1 Eagles football team. You could always count on them to do a fabulous job of executing their cheers, routines, and firing up the Eagles offense and defense. The 2008 New Windsor Eagle Cheerleaders were Coaches Mandie Bedetti, Kristin Nolan, and Stepanie Spellman and Cheerleaders Caely Baines, Madison Karavitch, Nicole Defabio, Samantha Soriano, Samantha Ferguson, Kirsten Caban, Briana Delgado, Sydney Natkiel, and Brianna Hurley.
- Last, but not least, a thank you to the dedicated Eagles coaching staff. Their countless hours of coaching and volunteering their time paid off with the successful season the kids had. The 2008 Eagles coaching staff consisted of Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator Dirk Fields, Defensive Coordinator Greg Wright, and Assistant Coaches Charlie Broe, Chris Eichner, Tomas Guzman, Eric Heidmann, Brian Walsh, James Wright, and Dean Colotti.
- Good luck to all our 9 year olds who are moving up to Division 2 next season and to our 8 year olds that are going to be returning to Division 1 next season. We are looking forward to another successful season in both divisions. Just think, as of November 10th, there is only 263 days until training camp opens on August 1st, 2009.
081025 New Windsor vs Wallkill
- Since losing their first game of the season in early September, the Eagles have been told after every practice and every game that they must “Run the tables” if they wanted to guarantee themselves a playoff spot in November. While portions of New Windsor had no power, the New Windsor D1 Eagles were battling the previously undefeated Wallkill Panther Stars in the midst of torrential rains and hurricane-like gusts under the lights at the Mount Airy Sports Complex on Saturday, October 25th. The Eagles pounded out a 12-0 victory to finish off what they started 7 weeks ago in front of the faithful and soaking wet Eagles fans. The win gave the Eagles the 2nd seed in the upcoming playoffs and guaranteed them a first round playoff game at home.
- The visiting Stars won the coin toss and elected to start the game on offense. On 1st and 10 from their 35-yard line, they ran the ball up the middle for a 10-yard gain and the first down. This would be the first of only three first downs the whole game as the Eagles defense would put the stranglehold on the Stars offense like they had done to the other teams before them. On 1st and 10, Linebacker Jordan Wright and Safety Justin Allen tackled the Halfback after a 4-yard gain. On 2nd down, Right Tackle Anthony Fiscal and Left Tackle Domenick Colotti wrapped up the Quarterback for a 2-yard loss. On 3rd and 8, Linebacker Noah Fields would get the first of his team high four tackles when he crashed through the Stars offensive line and dropped Halfback for a 2 yard loss. The Stars punted on fourth down.
- The Eagles would start their first offensive possession of the game at their 30-yard line and would march 70 yards on 7 plays to take the early 6-0 lead thanks to the huge holes by the offensive line. Starting on the offensive line were Right Tight End Taylor Ricciardi, Right Tackle Adrian Broe, Right Guard Tomas Guzman, Center Jack Walsh, Left Guard Jordan Wright, Left Tackle Anthony Fiscal, and Left Tight End Domenick Colotti. Halfback Matt Ulrich and Fullback Noah Fields would split time carrying the ball. On 3rd and 12 at midfield, Matt would take advantage of the enormous hole on the right side of the Eagles offensive line and race 50 yards for the touchdown.
- The Stars would start their next offensive possession at their own 35 and it would be a quick 3 and out compliments of the Eagles defense. On 1st and 10, Tyler Allen and Domenick would bring down the Halfback after a gain of 2. On 2nd and 8, Domenick brought down the Fullback after a 1-yard gain. On 3rd and 7, Matt came from the Outside Line Backer position and dropped the Wing Back for a loss of 1 as he tried to get to the outside. On 4th and 8, the Stars punted.
- The Eagles began their next possession at their 36-yard line and put together a promising drive that would later fizzle. On the first 3 plays, Matt and Noah would combine to pick up 22 yards and put the Eagles at the Wallkill 47 yard line. On 2nd and 5, Quarterback Ryan Skivington showed his offensive skills by turning a broken play into an 8-yard gain and the Eagles first down. Noah and Matt would get the Eagles to the 17-yard line of Wallkill and that is where the drive ended as Wallkill took over on the turnover on downs.
- The Eagles defense turned up the pressure as the Stars took over on offense deep in their own territory. The first play of the drive was called dead after a bad snap between the Center and the Quarterback. On 2nd and 10, Ryan busted through the line and dropped the Halfback for a loss of 3. On 3rd and 13, Jonte Wilson and Domenick teamed up to drop the Fullback after a 1-yard gain. The Stars were forced to punt on 4th and 12.
- The Eagles offense started off with great field position at the Stars 41 yard line. They would get to the 19-yard line before turning the ball over on downs. The running game had great blocks by Justin at Wing Back and on the line by Jack, Jordan, Anthony, and Domenick.
- The Stars would start their last possession of the 1st half at their 19-yard line and would encounter another quick 3 and out. On 1st and 10, Jordan and Anthony brought down the Fullback after a 3-yard gain. An Eagles offsides penalty brought up a 2nd and 2 for the Stars. Matt would makeup for his teammates 5-yard penalty by dropping the Wing Back for a 5-yard loss. Tyler would put an end to the drive by bringing down the Halfback after a pickup of 5.
- The Eagles would start the 2nd half on offense at their 35-yard line. Matt would deliver a crushing blow to the Stars on the first play as he sprinted 65 yards for the touchdown and 12-0 Eagles lead. The right side of the line came up big once more as they provided Matt the running room he needed to break his big run. Opening up the hole were Tomas, Adrian, and Taylor. Anthony would attempt the 2-point kick for the Eagles. He had plenty of distance on the kick, but the ball would unfortunately go just to the left of the goal post keeping the score 12-0 in favor of the Eagles.
- The Stars would begin the first of their five-second half drives at their own 35 yard line. This would be the first of four 3 and outs. On first down, the Quarterback attempted a pass to the Tight End. Safety Derrick Kenan was there to apply the pressure and help force the incompletion. On 2nd and 10, Anthony busted through the line and slammed the Quarterback to the ground for a 2-yard loss. On 3rd and 12, Noah picked up the reverse and dropped the Wing Back for a 4-yard loss forcing Wallkill to punt. Coming in to disrupt the running game up the middle were Nolan Casale and Mike Brinkworth.
- A fumble by the Eagles offense would give the Wallkill offense their best starting field position of the night at New Windsor's 47-yard line. The Eagles defense smothered them once again forcing another quick 3 and out. Noah and Danny Gandt stopped the Fullback after a pickup of 2. On 2nd and 8, with a lot open room on the right side of the field, Jack turned what could have been a big gain into a small gain of 2 when he wrapped up the Wing Back. Jordan put an end to the drive when he blitzed through the line and dropped the Halfback for a 5-yard loss. Also making some big hits and helping out the defense was Josh Bryant.
- A rare 3 and out by the Eagles offense gave the Stars the ball at Eagles 47 yard line. Ryan dropped the Quarterback for a 3-yard loss on 1st and 10. Jordan stopped the Fullback after a 4-yard gain on 2nd and 13. Facing 3rd and 9, the Stars Wing Back tried to get to the outside where Jack got a hand on him and spun him around to slow him down. Domenick came in to finish the tackle with a crushing blow that forced a fumble. The ball was recovered by Wallkill, but not after a 6-yard loss on the play.
- Wallkill's next possession started at their 46-yard line and started off not the way the Eagles wanted it. On 1st and 10, the Halfback made his way through the middle and into the open field. Anthony did not give up on the play and went from his Defensive Tackle position to chase the Halfback down and tackle him at the New Windsor 16 yard line. On 1st and 10, Matt tackled the Wing Back after a 1-yard pickup. On 2nd and 9, Noah stopped the Fullback after a pickup of 5. Anthony and Jordan teamed up to stop the Halfback after a pick up of 5. This gave the Stars the first down with just 5 yards to the goal line. On first down, Jonte put a crushing blow on the Halfback that forced him to fumble the ball. Noah quickly recovered the fumble and put an end to the Stars scoring threat.
- The Eagles took over at their 6-yard line and looked to run the clock out, but an Eagles fumble on 3rd and 6 gave the Stars the ball back at the Eagles 14 yard line. Doing a great job of getting the wet football in the 2nd half to the Quarterback and making key blocks was Center Bobby Eichner.
- The Eagles defense picked it up a notch and stopped the Stars once again. On 1st and 10, Matt came up with the tackle for a loss of 1. On 2nd and 11, Domenick and Anthony stopped the Fullback at the line for no gain. On 3rd and 11, Anthony was there once again to make the tackle and dropped the Halfback for a 3-yard loss. On 4th and 14, Mark Heidmann was there to make the stop and force the turnover on downs. The Eagles took over on offense and let their ground game run out the clock.
- Also enduring the crazy weather conditions were the New Windsor Eagles Cheerleaders. Like the Eagles football team, the cheerleaders did not let the bad weather stop them from putting out a top-notch performance from the sidelines. Come out and cheer the Eagles on as they host a first round playoff game against the Wallkill Panther Stars. Check the Orange County Youth Football League or the Eagles website for game date and time.

Jordan took the handoff from QB Jack Walsh and carried the ball and everyone in his way 6 yards to put the Eagles at the MV 24. Mark finished off the drive by racing 24 yards for the score and quick 6-0 Eagles lead. Jordan and Mark had big holes to go through thanks to fantastic blocking by the offensive line of Tight End Tyler Allen, Left Tackle Anthony Fiscal, Left Guard Shane McDonough, Center Bobby Eichner, Right Guard Tomas Guzman, Right Tackle Adrian Broe, and Tight End Josh Bryant. The Eagles attempt at the 2-point kick fell short to keep the score at 6-0.
- MV started their 2nd offensive possession of the game at their 35-yard line. On 1st down, Noah Fields and Mark took the QB down after a 3-yard gain. Noah then teamed up with Tomas to tackle the Fullback after a 2-yard gain. Two consecutive offsides penalties by New Windsor put MV at midfield. On 1st and 10, the Halfback tried to get to the outside and that his where he met Mark and Mark tackled him after a pickup of 1. On 2nd and 9, Danny Gandt and Jordan got the Fullback as he ran up the middle for a 2-yard gain. On 3rd and 7, Ryan Skivington dropped the Halfback for a 3-yard loss. The running game got some nice blocks down field by Justin Allen and some big hits by Tyler and Josh. The line opened up holes on each play with key blocks by Bobby, Adrian, and Tomas. The Eagles once again just fell short of converting on the 2-point conversion keeping the game at 12-0.
- MV started their last drive of the first half at their 35-yard line. They put together one of the better drives of the season against the Eagles defense and almost got to the red zone before being stopped on 4th down. On 3rd and 9, MV completed a 10-yard pass with Matt coming in to make his 2nd tackle of the drive. Ryan busted through the line and got to the QB as he tried to get to the outside for no gain on 1st down. On 2nd and 10, the Halfback broke a few tackles and ran for 27 yards before being stopped by Jonte Wilson, who came from Defensive End to make the downfield tackle. This put MV at the Eagles 27 yard line, but a MV illegal shift penalty moved them back to the 32. Noah dropped the Fullback for a 2-yard loss on 1st and 15. He then made the next tackle after a 4-yard completion. On 3rd and 13, MV completed another 4-yard pass with Justin making the tackle after making a great read from Safety. On 4th and 9 on their 26-yard line, the QB dropped back to pass, but had to make a run for it, and got dropped by Tyler and Anthony after failing to get the first down by 8 yards. Also making some big hits and helping to control MV's running game were Taylor Ricciardi, Nolan Casale, and Mike Brinkworth.
- The Eagles started the 2nd half on offense and scored for the 3rd consecutive drive in a row. They went 65 yards on 5 plays with Noah running through a huge hole on the left side for the 6-yard TD run. On 3rd and 8, Matt ran 67 yards for the TD, but the TD was called back because of an Eagles clipping penalty. The running game got some key blocks from Jack, Adrian, and Taylor. Kicking into the wind, the Eagles 2 point conversion just missed going over the crossbar keeping their lead at 18-0.
- The Eagles defense has owned the 2nd half the whole season and this game wasn’t any different. MV started off their first possession of the 2nd half at midfield and went 20 yards in the wrong direction. On 1st and 10, Jonte read the pitch to the left and dropped the Halfback for a 5-yard loss. A false start penalty by MV pushed them back and brought up 2nd and 20. Jack, Ryan, and Domenick teamed up to bring down the QB for another 5-yard loss. On 3rd and 25, Ryan was there again to make the tackle for another 5-yard loss. On 4th and 30, the MV offense wisely decided to punt giving the Eagles the ball at their 45-yard line. Also getting into the backfield and disrupting the MV running attack were Josh, Danny, and Tomas.
- The Eagles had already proven that they could beat MV on the ground and on this drive they did it through the air. On 1st and 10, Domenick made a diving catch on an out pattern for a 4-yard gain. Matt picked up 5 on 2nd and 6. Noah busted tackle after tackle and got to the outside and ran 30 yards to the MV 16. On 1st and 10, Ryan hit Domenick in the endzone for the 24-0 Eagles lead. With the ball at the 8-yard line, Anthony drilled the ball through the uprights for the 2-point conversion and extended the Eagles lead to 26-0.
- MV started off at midfield and got to the New Windsor 37 before having to punt on 4th down. On 1st and 10, the QB dropped back to pass, but Domenick hit his arm as he was throwing the ball and the pass was incomplete. A MV false start penalty followed by an Eagles facemask penalty put MV at the Eagles 34. On 1st and 10, Jonte and Jordan got to the QB at the line of scrimmage for no gain. On 2nd and 10, Jack just missed picking off the QBs pass to the Tight End. On 3rd and 10, Domenick wrapped up the Fullback and brought him down for a 3 yard loss forcing MV to punt again and putting New Windsor back at their 18-yard line.
- With a 26-0 lead, the Eagles were just looking to eat some time off the clock. They went to the running attack of Nolan and Justin. The running attack got some nice blocks by Shane, Adrian, and Josh.
- MV's last drive of the game went for 4 plays and 0 yards as time expired. A bad snap on 1st and 10 caused a 5-yard loss. On 2nd and 15, Jordan busted through the line and put a bone crushing tackle on the QB for a 3-yard loss. On 3rd and 18, the QB picked up 8 before being tackled by Mark with Derrick Kenan coming in from Safety to help. - Also making the long trip to the Otisville Field and tolerating the wind and cold weather were the New Windsor Eagles Cheerleaders. A special thank you goes out to Coaches Mandie Bedetti, Kristin Nolan, and Stepanie Spellman and Cheerleaders Caely Baines, Madison Karavitch, Nicole Defabio, Samantha Soriano, Samantha Ferguson, Kirsten Caban, Briana Delgado, Sydney Natkiel, Brianna Hurley for their continued support and the excellent job they do every Sunday. Come out and cheer on the Eagles as they play their first night game of the season and their regular season finale against the undefeated Wallkill Stars at the Mount Airy Sports Complex in New Windsor on Saturday, October 25th at 5pm. A win by the Eagles and they’re in the playoffs.
081012 New Windsor vs Middletown
- The New Windsor Division 1 Eagles extended their winning streak to 5 games with a 31-0 win over the visiting Middletown Middies. The defense continues to dominate as they held the Middletown offense to negative 35 total yards, did not allow a first down the whole game, and allowed only one positive play from scrimmage, which came late in the 4th quarter. The Eagles offense set a season high with 282 yards on the ground and tied a season high 5 touchdowns.
- Tyler Allen, Derrick Kenan, Nolan Casale, and Mike Brinkworth were the team captains for the game and won the coin toss for the Eagles. The Eagles elected to start on offense at their 35-yard line. The Eagles put up a long, but successful, 14 play 65 yard scoring drive. Fullback Noah Fields and Halfback Matt Ulrich split the workload with Noah going for 22 yards total in the drive and running the ball into the endzone from the 1-yard line. Matt had 43 yards and 3 first downs on the drive. Matt also converted the extra point for the 7-0 lead. One of the key plays of the drive happened on 3rd and 5 on the Middies 10 yard line. The Eagles Wing Back fumbled the ball and Tight End Domenick Colotti picked it up and rumbled 5 yards for the first down. The measurement by the refs showed that the Eagles got the first down by inches. Noah and Matt had big holes due to the strength of the offensive line lead by Taylor Ricciardi, Adrian Broe, Tomas Guzman, Jack Walsh, Jordan Wright, Anthony Fiscal, and Domenick.
- Middletown started their first offensive possession at their 35-yard line. On first down, Jack tackled the Running Back at the line of scrimmage for no gain. An Eagles offsides penalty made it 2nd and 5. The Middies tried a pass over the middle that nearly got picked off by Noah, with Domenick and Anthony applying great pressure on the quarterback. On 3rd and 5, Ryan Skivington, Anthony, and Domenick teamed up to drop the Quarterback for a 5 yard loss forcing the Middies to punt.
- New Windsor took over at their 40-yard line, but only managed 1 first down by Matt, and were forced to punt. Matt got key blocks from Danny Gandt and Tomas on his first down run.
- Middletown started their next offensive possession at their 25-yard line, but went nowhere but backwards. A false start penalty on first down pushed them back to the 20-yard line. Matt tackled the Running Back at the line for no gain and brought up 2nd and 15. Another Middies false start penalty made it 2nd and 20. The Quarterback took the snap and tried to get to the outside where he was hit and hit hard by Outside Linebacker Mark Heidmann for a 2-yard loss. On 3rd and 22, Middletown tried a screen pass that turned out to be a lateral dropped by receiver, which means it is a fumble. Middletown recovered it, but not after losing 9 yards on the play. They had to punt from their 4-yard line.
- New Windsor took over in great field position and capitalized on it with a 5 play 29 yard scoring drive. Matt went for 28 yards on the drive, including a 13-yard TD run, giving the Eagles a 13-0 lead. Key blocks up front from Jack, Jordan, Tomas, Danny, and Shane McDonough.
- Middletown started their last drive of the first half at their own 35-yard line. Another Middies false start penalty moved them back to the 30-yard line and brought up 1st and 15. Domenick and Ryan busted through the line and dropped the Fullback for a 3-yard loss. On 3rd and 13, Jordan ended Middletown’s drive by dropping the running back for a 2-yard loss. Doing a nice job on the defensive line of blocking up the middle were Mike and Nolan. Jonte Wilson took over at Defensive End and did a great job of disrupting the running game. Derrick did a great job of reading the Middies offense from the Safety position.
- Middletown started the 2nd half on offense and it was a quick 3 and out for the Middies. Noah dropped the Quarterback for a 2-yard loss on 1st and 10. An incomplete pass brought up 3rd and 12. Anthony got rid of 2 blockers and tackled the Running Back for a 3-yard loss. Middletown punted on 4th down.
- The Eagles started at midfield and took 5 plays before they were in the endzone once again. Matt capped off the scoring drive with a 35 yard run on 2nd and 7. Matt got a big hole on the right side of the line with key blocks by Tomas, Adrian, and Taylor. The Eagles couldn’t convert the extra point and had a 19-0 lead.
- With the mercy rule in affect, Middletown's offense started their next possession at midfield. The Eagles defense did not let them capitalize on the great field position. On 1st and 10, Tyler got through the line and grabbed the running back while Noah came from the Linebacker position to finish off the tackle. On 2nd down, a bad snap by the Middies caused a fumble, which they quickly recovered. Tyler was there again with Jonte to make the stop for a 5-yard loss. On 3rd and 15, Taylor did a nice job of picking up the pass and was ready to make the hit, but the receiver could not catch the pass or might have been afraid to with Taylor there. Middletown went for it on 4th down, but they were stopped by Ryan and Noah for a 5-yard loss and a turnover on downs.
- The mercy rule makes the Eagles remove their starting quarterback and backfield. The offense kept pouring it on with Jack moving from Center to Quarterback, and Mark taking over at Halfback, and Jordan moving from Left Guard to Fullback. Mark and Jordan kept pounding the Middies defense and worked the ball down to the Middletown 28. Some nice stops by the Middies defense and an Eagles penalty brought up a 4th and 13. The Eagles handed the ball to Justin Allen and Justin got the Eagles the first down. An Eagles penalty following the play pushed them back to the 29. Two plays later, Mark followed a key block from Jordan and raced 29 yards to the endzone giving the Eagles a 25-0 lead. The Eagles again failed to convert the extra point. Key blocks coming from Center Bobby Eichner and Tight End Josh Bryant opened wholes up the middle and on the right side.
- The Middies again started at midfield and did nothing on offense. Anthony again blasted his way through the offensive line and dropped the Quarterback for a 5-yard loss. On 2nd and 15, the Middies got their only positive gain of the day when the Quarterback completed a pass for 6 yards, with Matt coming from Outside Linebacker to make the tackle. An Eagles offsides penalty made it 3rd and 4. The Fullback tried running up the middle, where he was met and dropped by Right Guard Adrian for no gain. This brought up 4th and 4. The Middies attempted a pass down the right sideline that was broken up by Matt as he got some serious air to knock the ball away. Bobby came from his Safety position and was right there as well to help out.
- The turnover on downs gave New Windsor the ball at their own 45. Two plays later, Mark got a nice block from Nolan and raced for his 2nd touchdown of the game as the clock expired giving the Eagles the 31-0 victory.
- Just as impressive and entertaining as the Eagles football team is the New Windsor Eagles Cheerleaders. A special thank you goes out to Coaches Mandie Bedetti, Kristin Nolan, and Stepanie Spellman and Cheerleaders Caely Baines, Madison Karavitch, Nicole Defabio, Samantha Soriano, Samantha Ferguson, Kirsten Caban, Briana Delgado, and Sydney Natkiel for their continued support and the excellent job they do every Sunday. Come out and cheer on the Eagles as they continue their push for the playoffs when they take on Minisink Valley White on Sunday, October 19th at 3pm at Otisville Field off of Finchville Turnpike.
081005 New Windsor vs Highland Falls
- The New Windsor Division 1 Eagles traveled to West Point on Sunday, October 5th to play the Highland Falls Gold at Shea Field. The Eagles came away with a 20-0 victory. The score could have been worse for the Gold if it was not for the season high 3 touchdowns called back because of Eagles penalties. The Eagles defense continues to punish their opponents as they posted their 3rd consecutive shutout.
- Highland Falls Gold won the coin toss and elected to start the game on offense. On the first play of the game, they called a QB sneak that went for 10 yards. Ryan Skivington came from Defensive End to make the tackle. That is as good as the drive got for the Gold. Anthony Fiscal made the next tackle on 1st and 10 after a 1-yard gain. He then teamed up with Tomas Guzman to make the stop on 2nd and 9 after another 1-yard gain. Following a Highland Falls false start penalty, Middle Linebacker Jordan Wright made the tackle on 3rd down forcing Highland Falls to punt. Shane McDonough, Taylor Ricciardi, and Nolan Casale played a big part in disrupting the Golds ground game during this drive.
- The Eagles started their first offensive series on their 31-yard line. The drive went 6 plays before the Eagles had to punt on 4th and 2 at midfield. Splitting time in the backfield were Bobby Eichner and Derrick Kenan. Administering key blocks were Tight End Josh Bryant, Center Adrian Broe, Right Guard Tomas, Right Tackle Danny Gandt, and Tight End Tyler Allen.
- Highland Falls took over on their 25. The QB dropped back to pass on 1st and 10 and was knocked to the ground by the pass rush of Defensive End Jonte Wilson and Left Tackle Domenick Colotti. Domenick dropped the Halfback for a 2-yard loss on 2nd and 10. The Halfback broke some tackles and picked up 8 before being tackled by Tomas and Safety Matt Ulrich. The Gold fell 4 yards short of the first down and punted.
- The Eagles started off on their 46. Fullback Noah Fields got the call on the first 3 plays. On 2nd and 7, Noah broke to the outside and was in open field when the play was blown dead. Noah's big gain was minimized to 4 yards. A nice job of blocking by Jordan lead to a 26 yard run by Halfback Matt Ulrich, putting the Eagles at the Highland Falls 9 yard line. Noah took the offense to the 1-yard line before taking the ball in on 2nd and goal for the 6-0 Eagles lead. Noah converted the extra point to make it 7-0.
- The Golds next offensive possession was a quick 3 and out for -4 yards offense. Ryan made his 2nd tackle of the game after a 5-yard pick up by the Fullback. The Gold must not have scouted the Eagles. If they did, they would know you don’t throw the ball in Mark Headman's direction. Mark picked up the screen and dropped the running back for a 5-yard loss on 2nd and 5. Ryan busted through the line on 3rd down and put a crushing tackle on the Halfback for a 4-yard loss.
